The Robert Hawtree designed golf course at Plettenberg Bay Country Club officially opened in 1977. It is a fairly tough golf course with bent grass greens that are very well-kept. The course has recently been modified by Robert O’Friel.

This wonderful Plettenberg Bay golf establishment boasts an 18 hole championship regulation length golf course and country club. It was crafted in a parklands golf course layout and measures just over 6000 meters from the longest men tees.

The par 72 Plettenberg Bay CC golf course is set within southern Cape's biggest game park, the Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve. A privately run wildlife reserve that houses up to 4 of Africa’s Big 5 and an estimated 30 other game species, some of which can sometimes be seen grazing the rough and fairways.

This Country Club at the Plettenberg Bay lies along the scenic Garden Route strand between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth in the Bitou local Municipality area. An area of temperate and subtropical humid weather. It is famous for its hot yet enjoyable summers. The PBCC course is established amongst this montane forests bioregion. A magnificent mountainous jungle region complete with a bio diversified ecosystem.
