The Arabella Golf course was designed and built in the year 1999 by a golf course engineer and architectural genius, the highly admired Peter Matkovich. Arabella GC is the top rated course in the Cape and possibly the most beautiful.

Arabella Golf Club is set on the Bot River Lagoon and has one of the country’s finest golfing layouts. Eighteen championship holes in a combination style of parklands and links layout. The fairways are plaited with kikuyu grass and the greens with bent grass. Arabella GC plays to 6381 metres and pars to 72. The course is always in excellent condition, with well-trimmed fairways and extremely fast greens.

Arabella GC ranks with the big boys in the five most beautiful courses in South Africa. In 1999 Arabella Golf Club was bestowed Golf Digest’s best new course in South Africa. In 2002, it was rated number nine in South Africa and by 2003 it was 5th. In the same year Arabella Golf Club was awarded the CompleatGolfer five star award. Ranked 4th in the Top 100 South African Golf Courses by both Africa A-Z and golf digest South Africa 2012 publications.

The golf course at Arabella Golf Club has wonderful facilities: a huge pro-shop, a driving range, putting greens and a 19th hole.

Arabella Golf course is part of the Arabella Hotel and Spa an incredibly luxurious hotel. The hotel has been voted Africa's leading luxury hotel.

Visitors are welcome every day but the course is closed for golf play on Mondays.

To get to Arabella GC from Cape Town take the N2 east over Sir Lowry`s towards Somerset West. Take the R43 off-ramp and then turn immediately on to the R44 to Kleinmond/Botriver and follow the signs to the club. Arabella Golf Course will be to your left.
