Pecanwood Golf & CC

Pecanwood Golf & Country Club is a semi private residential golf facility with 18 holes. It is situated in the small resort town of Hartbeespoort in North West Province, South Africa. It is set inside the luxurious haven of Pecanwood residential estate, along undulating foothills on the southern banks of the scenic Hartebeespoort Dam, about 40 minutes west of Sandton.

The name Pecanwood was inspired by a plantation of pecan nut trees on the property. The Pecanwood Golf & Country Club course initially opened as a 9-hole course in 1997

Design of the Pecanwood Golf & CC began some time in 1996 by legendary Jack Nicklaus and his South African agent, Golf Data. They designed a fairly challenging parkland golf course with a very sophisticated irrigation and drainage system.

The Pecanwood golf course has a par rating of 72 and measures to about 6000 meters in length. The golf course layout at Pecanwood Golf & Country Club is wide with generous fairways rooted with kikuyu lawn and large, well-manicured greens.

Other golf services offered by the Pecanwood Golf & CC include a world class club house, an impressive 12 meter high water fountain on an inland lake at the third hole, a fully licensed bar and restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
