Southbroom Golf Club, an essential part of the Southbroom Township with a unique and rare South African golf course drought. It is set in a thick forest lined with old palm trees and tropical foliage amongst lush indigenous vegetation of the Frederika Nature Reserve which also helps shield the Southbroom golf course from heavy coastal winds.

The golf course at Southbroom Golf Club, bears the marks of a typical parklands golf course. Southbroom GC was established in 1934. The golf course measures an estimated 5564 metres from the men's tees and about 4932 metres from the women's tees.

Southbroom Golf Club is considered by many to be one of the counties finest and most popular golf holiday resort destinations. Southbroom Golf Club was founded as a 9 hole golf course which was laid out by J Naven, and constructed by Frank Eyles.

Southbroom Golf Club then gradually matured to 18 holes in 1948 when it was remodelled by Mandy. Today Southbroom golf course scales at the top of the charts in the South African GolfDigest golf course rankings, and as one of the best well-conditioned golf courses in the African continent. Modern course developments at Southbroom Golf Club have introduced narrower fairways, improved and easy to maintain greens, new bunkers and water hazards.
