The Clarens Golf Estate is a par 71 golf course situated in Rooiberge village, a quiet valley on the foothills of the maiden Maluti Mountains on the edge of the dramatic Golden Gate nature reserve in the eastern Free State Highlands of South Africa. 

The Clarens Golf Course was designed and constructed by Golf Data. Clarens Golf and Trout Estate is set in a unique environment locally known as the Clarens formation. The golf course at Clarens Golf and Trout Estate is characterised by wide Kikuyu fairways lined with mature Willow and bravura Lombardi poplar trees on a sandstone rock faced undulating play way meandering along and athwart the tranquil river, through a series of strategically placed fox hole and dam barriers, to well preserved bent grass carpeted greens. 

Clarens Golf & Trout Estate is centrally located in Clarens, an archaeology and fossils rich region, only two and a half hours drive from both Johannesburg and Durban. This 18 hole championship golf course follows the design principles of a typical African parkland golf course.  Clarens Golf & Trout golf course is approximately 6445 meters long from the men's tees.
